The Silverpine Forest is a large forest covering much of Eastern Lordaeron, from the northern expanse of the Gilnean Peninsula to the north-eastern shore of Lordamere Lake. It is also a colloquial term for the broader region dominated by the Forest, including its hills, valleys, and open plains. So-named for the silver-barked pines that grow in great abundance, the forest was moderately populated with concentrations in the limited areas of open grass and the hills. Today it is controlled by the Forsaken, though bands of Gilnean guerrillas periodically resurface to create strife.
